Why are we needed?
Teachers are eight times more likely to suffer vocal health problems than other professions and almost 50% of new teachers experience problems with their voice in their first year of teaching.
Voice training for teachers is currently desperately underfunded and overlooked despite teaching relying heavily on long periods of continuous vocal communication.
Research has shown that ineffective use of voice can also result in:​

Difficulties in management of class behaviour
Poor engagementwith pupils
Barriers to building and maintaining good rapport with pupils, colleagues and parents
A detrimental impact on teacher confidence and pupil outcomes
